Organisation Overview
The Mukisa Foundation is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) registered as INDP11170507NB, based in Kampala, Uganda. The Foundation enables families with children who have disabilities to provide a nurturing and supportive environment, helping these children lead full and purposeful lives. Mukisa Foundation employs a holistic, child-centred 360° model that includes programs in:

Position: Administrative Officer
No. of Posts: Two (2)
Location: Kalema Road, Lungujja
Job Summary
The Administrative Officer will act as the point of contact for all employees, providing support in administration, logistics, finance, and human resources. This will be done in accordance with established organisational policies and procedures.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications
Essential:
- A degree in Office Management, Business Administration, Social Work and Administration, Human Resource Management, or other related fields.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in office or program administration.
- Previous experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role.
- Knowledge of NGO or humanitarian administration operations and management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative, logistical, financial, and program support to the organisation.
- Ensure the smooth daily running and presentation of the organisation, including:
- Maintaining order at the centre.
- Ensuring all departments have the necessary tools and resources.
- Monitoring staff adherence to organisational rules and regulations.
- Oversee staff welfare and the wellbeing of children and their caregivers.
- Monitor the wellbeing of patients and clients at the centre and in the community.
- Receive departmental reports and ensure matters arising are addressed.
- Manage petty cash for the centre’s daily operations.
- Collaborate with departments to plan and organise events such as seminars, workshops, parties, and open days.
- Review and verify payment requests and their supporting documents for accuracy and compliance with organisational and donor policies.
- Oversee volunteer welfare and scheduling.
- Manage stock, including office consumables, stationery, and sundries.
- Supervise fleet and asset management for the organisation.
- Provide technical support, orientation, and training to staff and volunteers.
- Be available to travel and work in any of the organisation’s field offices and outreaches.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

- High discretion and confidentiality in handling organisational matters.
- Proficiency in resource management to ensure efficiency.
- Understanding and proficiency in administrative management, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work well with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Strong planning, coordination, and reporting skills, capable of managing a complex workload.
- Ability to handle crises or troubleshoot when necessary.
- Flexibility to adapt to challenging operating environments.
Agreement
The selected candidate will be required to sign a contractual agreement with Mukisa Foundation.
