Organisation Overview
The Mukisa Foundation is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) registered under INDP11170507NB, based in Kampala, Uganda. The Foundation enables families with children who have disabilities to provide a nurturing and supportive environment so these children can lead full and purposeful lives. Mukisa Foundation employs a holistic, child-centred 360° model, which includes programs in:

Position: Cleaners
No. of Posts: Two (2)
Location: Kalema Road, Lungujja
Job Summary
A successful cleaner will perform heavy cleaning duties such as:
- Cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass.
- Cleaning restrooms, dusting office furniture, and removing trash.
- Completing routine maintenance activities, including notifying management of any necessary repairs.
- Reporting work in progress or upon completion.
Cleaners should ensure the office is tidy and well-maintained at all times.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications
- No specific qualifications are required.
Experience
- No prior experience is mandatory; however, previous experience in a similar role is an added advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Sanitising:
- Clean and sanitise offices, bathrooms, toilets, and common areas such as the compound, hallways, and lobbies.
- Refilling and Restocking Supplies:
- Refill and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries, such as hand wash, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Waste Management:
- Empty waste bins, replace liners, and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Deep Cleaning:
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as required.
Desirable Skills and Competencies
- Attention to Detail: Ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of handling physically demanding tasks.
- Time Management: Complete tasks efficiently within set deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Basic understanding of the English language to interact with staff and guests.
