About Mukisa Foundation
Building Inclusive Communities Where Every Child Can Thrive
The Mukisa Foundation is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) INDP11170507NB based in Kampala, Uganda, dedicated to unlocking the potential of children with disabilities. Through our 360° child-centred holistic model, we break down barriers that hinder inclusion by improving access to quality healthcare, education, and dignified livelihoods for children with disabilities and their families. We also build safe, nurturing, and inclusive environments through strategic advocacy, awareness, and collaboration with communities, government, and key stakeholders.
What began in 2006 as a small home-based care initiative has grown into a vibrant network of centres of excellence and outreach programs, transforming lives through direct support to over 6,000 children and reaching many more indirectly through partnerships and community networks.
