At Mukisa Foundation, we recognize that every step toward better health opens doors to learning, friendships, and brighter futures. That’s why our Health Program goes beyond treatment, focusing on holistic care that supports children and empowers families to thrive together.

Therapy & Holistic Health Services
Children with disabilities receive regular, individualised therapy services at the centre, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and developmental interventions tailored to each child’s unique needs and abilities. These services aim to improve mobility, communication, daily living skills, and overall quality of life.
These services are provided at home through our home -based care program for older children and those in hard-to-reach areas of the Island.
Mukisa also provides integrated health services, including medical assessments and referrals, nutrition screening and support, immunisation follow-up, epilepsy management, assistive device provision, and caregiver education. Through this holistic approach, children receive comprehensive care that addresses their health, functional, and developmental needs while empowering families to support their children at home and within the community.
Early Screening and Diagnosis
We facilitate early identification of developmental delays and disabilities, enabling timely interventions.
Medical and Surgical Support
We partner with Berakhah Medical Centre to deliver essential medical services to our children.
In addition, we collaborate with leading referral hospitals and specialists, including Mulago, Lubaga, Butabika, and CORSU, as well as individual medical experts, to ensure timely medical reviews, refills, and surgeries.
Assistive Devices
We offer mobility aids and specialised equipment that help children move, communicate, and interact with the world.
Caregiver Education
Through workshops and seminars, we empower families with knowledge and skills to care for their children confidently at home.
Nutritional Support
We provide dietary support and supplements for children who are undernourished or face feeding difficulties.
