Covid Relief Program

The Covid-19 pandemic hit Uganda hard, with lockdowns and movement restrictions leaving children with disabilities cut off from essential services. Many suffered from hunger, missed medical care, and increased abuse and neglect. In response, Mukisa sought special permission from the Ministry of Health to launch an emergency rescue program—transporting children to hospitals, providing food and medicine, and supporting victims of sexual abuse through justice and care. Joined by other organizations and government bodies, the initiative reached over 9,000 children across multiple districts, offering a lifeline during one of the most challenging times in recent history
