LEADERSHIP TEAM
Florence Namaganda
Founder / Director
Florence Namaganda is a Ugandan social entrepreneur, philanthropist, and neurodevelopmental therapist with 18 years of experience. As the founder and director of the Mukisa Foundation and Special Children’s Trust in Uganda, she leads organizations dedicated to restoring hope and dignity to children with disabilities and their families. Through comprehensive health, education, family empowerment, advocacy, and awareness programs, her initiatives directly impact communities in nine districts, with a nationwide reach through the Special Children’s Forum—an essential platform uniting various stakeholders in the disability sector for coordinated efforts.
At the forefront of championing inclusion, Florence established the Dawn Children’s Centre, an inclusive kindergarten and primary school where children with and without disabilities learn and flourish together in a safe, nurturing environment, enabling them to reach their full potential.
In 2021, Florence expanded her impact by founding Berakah Medical Centre, a facility focused on improving child and maternal health outcomes, preventing disabilities, and providing specialized care for children with disabilities.
Beyond her direct initiatives, Florence serves on prominent boards and committees, including the Children at Risk Action Network (CRANE), Berakah Medical Centre, Local Coalition Accelerator, the African Disability Collaboration, the Committee for Gender and Social Development in the Buganda Kingdom, and Kyaro Assistive Tech in Tanzania.
Her overarching vision is to see every child thrive to their God-given potential, irrespective of abilities, race, or creed. She deeply believes that every child is a blessing, created with purpose, deserving of love, and entitled to a dignified life.
