Zuriel Nakimbugwe, now 3 years and 9 months old, has made remarkable progress since joining the Mukisa Foundation in 2024. Born with Down syndrome and having undergone heart surgery at the age of 2 in India, she initially could only sit and crawl.
Through dedicated therapy and support, she has developed the ability to stand and walk independently, marking significant milestones in her development.
Zuriel has also enhanced her social skills, engaging in play with her peers, and her communication has improved with meaningful verbal coos. Notably, she can now confidently feed herself under supervision.
Her bright spirit and determination continue to inspire everyone around her, illustrating the incredible journey of her growth and resilience.
